Richard V. Grover's Obituary
Richard V. Grover Born in Tacoma Dec. 19, 1933. Died peacefully at home, surrounded by family and friends, to be with his Lord and Savior, on May 28, 2008, after a long struggle with dementia and finally cancer. Dick operated Signal/Mobil/BP service stations on the same corner in Summit View for 38 years. He loved boating, traveling and street rodding. Survived by his loving wife and best friend of 28 years, Helga, sons Donald Grover (Pamela) and Gary Grover, daughter Kathy Grover (Jack), stepson Bryan Grimm (Cheryl) and stepdaughter Heidi Kady (Don), 20 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, special nephew Dennis Philes and wife Carrie, great-niece Codie Patrick, and many other nieces, nephews, and caring friends. Visitation at Mountain View Funeral Home, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW, Wed., noon - 9 p.m., and Thurs., 8 a.m.- 9 p.m. Memorial service Fri., June 6, 2008, 11 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 4519 112th St. E, Tacoma 253-531-2997.
