Richard John Thach's Obituary
Richard J. Thach (Dick), 66, resident of Tacoma, Washington, passed away on January 25, 2014 peacefully in his sleep following a brief illness. Born in Fairbanks, Alaska, he moved to the Seattle Tacoma area when he was a young boy, subsequently spending the majority of his life as a Seattle Tacoma Washington area resident.
Everywhere he went he touched the lives of many people with his contagious laughter, smile and sense of humor all the way to the end. He worked as a machinist operator at the Tacoma area Nalley’s food processing plant for more than 26 years. He always enjoyed playing cards, playing the horses, watching sporting events of all kinds and spending time with family and friends.
Dick is survived by his wife Karen of 46 years and his two sons Rich and Joe along with his two grandsons Riley and Carson and his loving nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives.
"A private family memorial service will be held at a later date."
