Rich L. Stuart
January 13, 1963 – December 21, 2022
Richard Lyle Stuart was born in New Virginia, Iowa to Lyle Wayne and Ann Marie (Reins) Stuart. He grew up in Harvey, IA and attended local schools. He served in the Army from May of 1981 to May of 1985 and served as 63B10 Light Wheel Vehicle Mechanic and received the Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (Korea), and the M-16 (Expert). He was honorably discharged. Family and friends brought him to Pierce County Washington after his military service.
Rich met Leanne Evans in 1999 and were married May 20, 2000. They lived in University Place and then moved to Eatonville in 2007.
Hobbies included ATV/Quad riding at the dunes in Oregon, motorcycles, Dutch oven cooking, rescuing animals of all kinds and spending time with family and friends.
Rich is survived by his wife, Leanne and his brother, Floyd (JR) Stuart of University Place, WA. His nephews, Adam Mitchell and James Stuart and nieces Ranae Mitchell and Sadey Stuart. Numerous great nephews and nieces. Rich is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Rhonda Mitchell, his brothers Jim Stuart and Lynn Stuart.
A memorial is planned for January 21, 2023 at 1pm at Puyallup Community Baptist Church 1318 9th Ave SW, Puyallup, WA 98371. Potluck social to follow service.
