I will remember Uncle Dick as the most loving and kind man who always had that wonderful smile that always made his eyes twinkle. I loved his laugh. I loved how he loved Aunt Donna and his family. I will miss him very much.

Where Rainbows Never Die - lyrics- The steeldrivers
I'm an old man now, I can't do nothing
Young folks don't pay me no mind
But in my day, I sure was something
Before I felt the heavy hand of time
I'm an old man now, I'm bound for glory
Time to lay these burdens down
Had enough of this old world of worry
Gonna trade my troubles for a crown
I will make my way across the fields of cotton
And wade through muddy waters one last time
And in my dreams I come out clean
When I reach the other side
Waste away the sunsets
Where rainbows never die
I've got on last thing to do
One more mile before I'm through
Casting off these earthly chains
Going where there's no more pain
I will make my way across the fields of cotton
And wade through muddy waters one last time
And in my dreams I come out clean
When I reach the other side
Waste away the sunsets
Where rainbows never die
I'm an old man now, can't do nothing
Young folks don't pay me no mind
My dad wanted me to send this to all of you as it reminded him of Dick - Karen Vander Veen (Kelly)
You’ll always be in our hearts Uncle Dick. So many fun memories of you and Auntie Donna and your family.❤️
My earliest memories of our family have Dick in them! And I was the flower girl in Donna and Dick’s wedding.
I will miss you my friend. You meant more to me than you could ever know. I will see you again. Rest with the knowledge that you were and are loved by so many.
Met Dick in mid-70's at St. John of the Woods church. Always positive with that sincere hand shake and smile. Showed love and support during difficult times. Have tremendous respect for his daily examples. Dick will be missed.
