Richard L. Ross Jr.'s Obituary
Our beloved son, Richard, 48, went to be with God on Thursday, December 4, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. Rick was an employee of Waste Management, Tukwila, WA and was a Veteran of the Third Armor Brigade Iraqi Enduring Freedom, retiring from the U.S. Army in 2007 with 23 years of service.
Richard was an exceptional doting father, faithful son, and sportsman with a passion for coaching Little League Football through which he touched many lives. He loved to cook and had a “secret” barbeque sauce that was dynamite. He enjoyed cooking for family and friends.
Richard is survived by his parents, Yvonne Ross, Richard (Carmella) Ross, his son Marcus Ross, two daughters Carla Ross, Chantel Ross, special cousins, Melanie Byrd, Leslie Holmes, Michelle McGee, Ross Lloyd, Aunt Cheryl Stafford, Uncle Eddie (Sue) Watkins. Richard had a wonderful loving relationship and great family support from his special Aunts Gloria (Aunt NiNi) and Eleanor (Aunt Ellie) Lloyd, special friends, Derrick (Jodi) Roberson and Justin Pollard.
He was loved and admired, touching many lives as far away as Germany. Our Rick was loved beyond measure and will be missed by family and friends.
Services will be held at Mountain View's Valley Chapel in Lakewood, WA.
Family and Friends may visit between 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM, Friday, December 12, 2014. Funeral Services to begin at 11AM.
