I have very fond memories of Uncle Dick all through my childhood and adulthood. Several of his birdhouses adorn my porch and house. He will not be forgotten. It was always a joy to see him at the family gatherings and listen to his stories. My condolence to you Pierce girls and the extended family.
We were very privileged to have known Richard and being his neighbor, for the years he stayed at Jeff & Janis's place. Loved talking with him, going to the pond to feed the fish & seeing him smiling & waving as he drove by in the golf cart to get the mail. Loved hearing his stories about when he worked in Logging, because our family has lived in the area for many years & many of them worked in Logging since the 1920's up until recently. We often wondered if he might have known them or crossed paths along the way. We will miss him dearly. Our Condolences to his family. Love Randy, Cindy & Dale
There are not enough words or space to describe my Uncle Dick. Such a special human being with a zest for life. Our conversations always ended with the words "love you". He was all about family and never met a stranger. I will miss him and our visits and phone calls. He always made me laugh and we enjoyed some great jokes. His passing leaves a big hole in my heart. I feel truly blessed to have been able to call him Uncle and tell people about how wonderful he was. He will be truly missed.
You girls were so lucky to have such wonderful parents. Your Dad really had a ruff childhood but really persevered. I loved his sense of humor.
