Richard Paul Steele's Obituary
Richard P. Steele, of Lakewood, Washington, passed away suddenly on July 16th 2008 at home with his wife and son by his side. He was born on August 18th 1946 in Vallejo, California. After graduating from high school, he joined the U.S. Army. He served for 20 years, including the Vietnam war. He is survived by his wife Josie, whom he fell in love with and married in Munich, Germany in 1970. He is also survived by his son Tyrone, of whom he was so proud. He has 4 brothers, 1 sister, and his great aunt. He loved and took pride in his yard, and he loved the holidays. He enjoyed decorating for Christmas and hanging the holiday lights. He also loved his favorite cat, Snoopy, who was always by his side. He was so looking forward to his son's wedding in September, and was very happy with the prospect of adding his future daughter-law Rachael to the family. He was always so proud of his family. Richard, you will be missed and will always be in our hearts. Richard's memorial service will be held Saturday, July 26th, 2008 at 3:00pm in the Mountain View Valley Chapel in Lakewood, WA.
