RICHARD ALLEN NELSON, born to Chester Nelson and Lavern Altpeter on March 16, 1949 in Fargo, ND, passed away at age 67 on July 7, 2016 in Tacoma, WA. Survived by his wife Jean L. Nelson of 47 years married December 7, 1968 and their 3 children: Christopher Allan Nelson with grand-daughter Sara; Tamara Jean Nelson and Stephen Rockwell with grandchildren Donovan, Austin, David, Brianna; Faith Ferreria and Patrick Shovein with grandchildren Justin, Nathaniel, Alexander; 2 brothers: Jim Nelson with sister-in-law Evelyn and Danny Nelson with sister-in-law Terri; and 1 sister Donna Johnson with brother-in-law Mike. Preceded by Mother Lavern Nelson, Father Chester Nelson, and sister Mary Nelson Battle.
A Memorial Service and Reception will begin at 10:00AM, Monday, July 18, 2016 in the Aspen Chapel and Willow Room at Mountain View Memorial Park in Lakewood, WA, with escort at 1:30PM to the Military Burial to begin at 2:30PM at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA.
