Richard M. Wagner's Obituary
Surrounded by the love of family and friends, Rich rode one more time on September 12, 2005 after a brave struggle with cancer. He will be greatly missed and remembered by everyone who knew him as a genuine and caring guy.Rich was born in Columbus, Georgia, and lived his entire adult life in TacomaÂ's North End, which he loved. He found hours of peace and beauty in the backyard oasis bursting with plant and animal life nurtured by his partner, Marge. Rich felt happiest while riding his Harley, the wind in his face. For 38 years Rich worked for Kaiser Aluminum, where he made life-long friends. After retiring from Kaiser, he worked for the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers and met more good friends. You always knew where you stood with Rich, and he would help you out if he could. He is survived by his loving and long-time companion, Marge Cox, by her children and grandchildren, who loved him very much, and by his ex-wife, Judy, her mother, June, and JudyÂ's children and grandchildren. Keeping watch alongside Marge, who cared for Rich until the end, was his special cat, Blackie, and the other animals that helped to ease his final journey.May the wind be at your back now, Rich. We will see you on down the road.Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 17, 2005 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
