Richard A. Libby Jr's Obituary
Richard A. Libby Jr. was born on September 28th, 1985 to Richard and Un Suk Libby in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Being a military child, Junior traveled and grew up in many places.
After living in Hawaii for a few years, the Libby family settled in Washington State.
Junior attended Spanaway Lake High School in Spanaway, WA.
Junior is survived by his son, Xander R. Preece, who was adored by his father.
Junior was the youngest of 3 children and will be missed by his sisters, Sabrina Libby and Michelle Hulen.
On July 24th, 2024 Jr. passed away - and with him, a piece of our hearts also perished from this Earth.
Life was not always easy for Junior and he traveled his own road. The truth he knew in his mind could not withstand the battle he fought in his flesh to set him free, but that was not all that defined him.
We will choose to cherish the good memories of Junior - his love for the ocean and water, his endless passion and noted skill for fishing, his playfulness and jokes, and his sweet, coy smile.
How Junior lit up around Xander revealed his true self, it revealed the love and affection he had for his son. He enjoyed playing games with Xander, as well as singing and dancing to their favorite song, Sunflower.
He loved in this life and he was loved.
The truth is he will always be loved by us and his Heavenly Father, that love was not earned and cannot be taken away, it is unconditional.
We will hold your memory in our hearts forever, Junior.
We love you, son.
We love you, nephew.
We love you, uncle.
We love you, dad.
We love you, cousin.
We love you, brother.
We love you, Junior.
Forever.
To commemorate Junior’s life a service will be held on August 20th, 2024 at 11 am at Mountain View Funeral Home, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Tacoma, WA. We welcome all who knew Junior to join us in remembering him.
