I remember the first week I moved into the senior apartment building where I now live. Every day I would hear the same question. “Have you seen Richard?”
Soon, I began to wonder who this Richard guy was, and why are so many people so interested in him?
Then he wheeled into the room in his electric chair. And, people gathered around him to engage in conversation and to just be in his presence. It didn’t take long for me to see why everyone was so taken with Richard. He was the pure essence of love.
Richard reminded me of the scripture found in John 13:35, when Jesus said, “By this will all men know you are my disciples if you have love for one another.”
We will miss you, Richard.
