Richard J. -Å"Bud- Walsh
Bud was born June 25, 1920 in Harpers Ferry, Iowa to Richard and Ida Walsh. He died January 7, 2009.
Bud moved to Puyallup as a young boy and graduated from Puyallup High School class of 1938. He served in the Navy during World War II as a dive bomber pilot in the South Pacific. After the war he returned to Puyallup and married Beverly Albert February 15, 1947. They made their home in Fife. Bev and Bud recently moved to their beach home in Silverdale, WA.
Bud made his career in the grocery business and worked at Andres Market and Piggly Wiggly stores until his retirement in 1984.
Bud is survived by his wife Beverly, daughters Debra (Mark) Koenig and Betsy Hollis; son Ron (Terri) Walsh; grandchildren Joe and Max Koenig, Sean and Ian Walsh, Missy (Matt) Spernak, Jamie Hollis; sisters Catherine Jackson, Evelyn Woods, and Margaret Ostby. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Richard Walsh Jr.; sisters Helen Otto and Loretta Wade.
Bud was a charter member of Fife Lions Club
