Richard J. Holder's Obituary
Richard James Holder, affectionately known as Â"PatÂ" to many, was born December 7, 1927 in Tacoma, WA. He passed away May 5, 2006 at 78 years old.He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and the Korean War. After the war, he went on to work at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in the automotive dept. where he retired in 1982.He was preceded in death by his loving wife Gayline and son James. He is survived by his daughters Susan and Scott Biles and Nancy and Louis Rougutt; and his granddaughters Jennifer (Wilfred) Reyes, Tammy (Tory) Childs, Stephanie Rougutt and Tara Biles. He is also survived by his brothers John Kough and William Holder as well as many other family and friends.Pat loved animals, especially dogs and cats. Pat enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting and camping. His hobbies included gardening, thrift store shopping, mall walking, and working on cars. Pat loved combing the beach and hiking in the forest. Some of his favorite times were spent with his family at the cabin at Ocean Shores. He was a source of strength, support and love to his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.Visitation will be held from 12 Â- 9 PM on Friday, May 12, 2006 at Mountain View Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 13, 2006 in the Mountain View Valley Chapel.
