Richard Hafterson's Obituary
Richard died peacefully at home on February 1st, 2015 at the age of 85. Born in MN to Ben and Anna Hafterson, he was the 3rd of 4 sons. The family moved west in the 40s and settled in Washington state.
Richard enlisted in the Army, serving in Germany from 1951-1955. Following his service, he began what turned into a half-century career with the railroads; first with the Milwaukee Road and then with the City of Tacoma's Belt Line Railway.
Richard was a loyal sports fan, loved a good practical joke, and enjoyed family get-togethers. He will be deeply missed. Richard is survived by his brother Duane ( Mary K), nieces Karen (Gregg), Connie, Lisa (Bryan), and Nancy (Rodney) plus many great-nieces and great-nephews.
