Richard H. McKee's Obituary
Richard "Mac" Mckee was born April 22, 1937 in Stewart, MN. He went to be with the Lord on January 27, 2013.
He went to school in Glencoe, MN and graduated in 1955. He went into the Air Force right out of high school and eventually was stationed at McChord Air Force Base in Tacoma, WA. He retired from active duty after 20 years of service. He then served another 20 years in the civil service with the Army.
He met his friend, Tracy Martin, over 38 years ago and essentially adopted her and her two children as his own family. He is survived by her, her daughter, Jeri-Kay Lerew, and preceded in death by her son, Greg Lerew.
Jeri-Kay invited Mac and Tracy to church over three years ago and they both became members of Champions Centre in Tacoma. They were both baptized March 22, 2010. Mac attended church every Sunday, he really enjoyed that time. In fact, the morning of his passing was Sunday and he was all dressed and ready to go to church services. Little did he know that he would be getting dressed to meet the Lord that day.
Mac was one of twelve siblings. Eight of which preceded him in death. He is survived by his sister, Elizabeth "Liz" Wolf and her husband, Cliff, of Owatonna, MN. His sister, Dee Mckee of Edina, MN and his sister, Arlene Warner of Davenport, Iowa.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, February 5th at 11:30am at Mountain View Memorial cemetery.
Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home.
