Richard was my pastor, but we loved him like family. May his family know God's peace....for we know Richard is in Heaven...and we will see him again one day.
Till then we miss him. I am thankful I took his photo at church....while doing so...I recall he said " oh Marilyn". Other memories...he was always helping others, Took time to greet and say a few words. He didn't know what he did meant so much to us. We love and miss our Pastor. Marilyn

The funeral services were a loving memorial to a man who loved his God, his family and his fellow man with passion and fervor. It was particularly moving to hear from Thomas. My thoughts and prayers are with Mary, Mark, Thomas and the rest of the Foege family. I pray that they shall be comforted in their loss.
Thank you so much for sharing him with the rest of us.
Dear Mary, Mark, and Tom,
Thank you for sharing your husband and father with us. When we heard of Dick's passing last week, we were floored. We will all miss him and his contagious smile, but we give thanks to our Heavenly Father for making him His child. We will see him later in the realms of Heaven. That is a promise of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! We will be in touch with you Mary in the next few weeks. Dick is singing Christmas Carols with the Heavenly Choir as we speak!
God's Peace and Love,

We will always remember his strength and how he just had a knack for showing up when we had Dad in the ER and the comfort of hearing his deep, resonant voice. We will remember when Michael and Amy were in confirmation and they would comment to one another how much Pastor Foege knew and how much they hated taking the dreaded sermon notes. Once, after mid week confirmation class, Amy said, "Pastor Foege knows so much! I just want to say to him, 'Give me your knowledge!'" I'm sure he and Dad are sharing stories and having a blast, although we will dearly miss him! God bless you all as you navigate through this difficult time! Love, Alan and Paula Aplin
This is such very sad news. Pastor Foege was such a significant influence in my life. No other single person played a bigger role in my faith journey. From my baptism as an infant, to my confirmation as a teenager and my reentering the church as an adult, Pastor Foege guided me. More than any other person, Pastor Foege helped me reconcile the death of my daughter and rejoin the living with a new perspective on life. He was also the only person I let pronounce my name as Mon-EE-kah.
Rest in Peace, Pastor Forge. You will be greatly missed.
Our deepest condolences to Mary, Mark, Tom and the rest of Pastor Foege's family. We met him the first week he came to Emmanuel where he worked relentlessly to bring new members to hear God's word. He was a great evangelist for the community and the church, both locally and nationally. He will be missed.
