Richard Duncan McCrea's Obituary
Dick was born in Leeds, ND on October 1, 1924, and passed away peacefully on December 14, 2010. He was a World War II veteran with the 29th Infantry Division, and was seriously wounded in Europe in October of 1944. He worked many years for Pioneer Business Forms, retiring in 1989.
Dick was preceded in death by his wife Marie, the love of his life. Dick was a loving father, grandfather, uncle and brother. Surviving are son Rich McCrea (Linda), and grandchildren Grant and Edel McCrea. Dick is also survived by his sister Helen (Russell Smith), his nephew Biff Smith (Gail), and nieces Julie Zager (Jeff) and Vicki Hass.
Dick spent his retirement years loving his grandchildren and indulging in his love of the movies. He was always happy and never lost his sense of humor. Remembrances are suggested to the Tacoma-Pierce County Chaplaincy.
A memorial service will be held in the Mountain View Garden Chapel in Lakewood on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 1:00 P.M.
