William Cowell
I have know Dick Dahlby since 1969. I met him when I was a young Sergeant assigned to work for him at G2, 5th US Army, Fort Sheridan Illinois. We immediately had in common that his wife was Korean, and I had recently married a Korea and was waiting for her to come from Korea. I was in the intelligence business too. Dick eventually retired from the Army, and I went on to spend 30 years in the Army. We would drop each other a note from time to time, or at least a Christmas card off and on over the years. When an old friend makes his final PCS you miss him. You may not have physically seen him for years, but with him gone the world is a bit more empty than it was.
