Richard Charles Gilmur's Obituary
Born September 26 1953, passed away peacefully at the age of 52 on April 5, 2006 after his 1½-year battle with Mantle Cell Lymphoma.Dick, a graduate of Wilson HS class of Â'71, obtained a degree in Environmental Sciences from Huxley College. He dedicated his career to many years of service for the city and Port of Tacoma.Above all of DickÂ's many professional accomplishments stood his unconditional love, kindness and devotion to his family.He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Deanne; daughters Britany and Katie; son Charlie; parents Chuck and Thelma Gilmur; sister and brother-in-law Lorri and Randy Dillman; nephew Lee Overland; and niece Kristi Dillman.Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Monday, April 10, 2006 at the University Place Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Transverse Myelitis Association, or the Tahoma Audubon Society.
