Richard J. Bogue's Obituary
Dick was born on November 17th, 1932 in Yakima, WA and passed away on Wednesday, December 5th, 2018 at the age of 86. Dick grew up in Tacoma and served his automotive apprenticeship at Walker Chevrolet continuing to work in the automotive industry until his retirement. Dick loved to oil paint and draw. He enjoyed camping, cars, and his favorite pastime was fishing. Dick was a man of integrity and he was honest, caring, and full of grace. He was an especially great listener, making others feel important and valued. Most of all he loved his family and was always there for us. Dad was surrounded in love by his wife of 64 years, Karen, and family. Four children, John (Fereshteh), Steve (Ronda), Carey (Rikki), and Yvonne Puryear (Jim), nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and sister, Norma Losch. Dad recently said he was ready to see Jesus and that he had a cabin on a lake for him. Revelation 4:12, “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death, or mourning, or crying, or pain.” Dad is at home now, rest in peace; you loved well and were well loved. Memorial donations may be made in his name to CHI Franciscan Hospice House. A reception celebrating Dick’s life will be held in the Celebration of Life Bldg at Mountain View Funeral Home at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 10th, 2018.
