Rev. Grant H.'s Obituary
Rev. Grant H. Cole, born October 27, 1916 in Butte, Montana, died peacefully at the age of 89 in Issaquah, Washington on December 30, 2005. Rev. Cole was a full-time pastor in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) for 43 years and served an additional 12 years in interim ministries in Washington state.He was active in community affairs, the Masonic Lodge, DeMolay and a life-long member of the Kiwanis. Survivors include daughters Louise Cole, Kathy Guthmiller and Lynnette Flanigan; grandchildren Monty Costello, Monica Costello, Stacey Kuhrt, Sharene Kuhrt-Nelson, and Glenna Usselman; great-grandchildren Jade Nelson, Brianna Pluff, and Taylor and Jordan Usselman, and many nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at the First Christian Church, 602 North Orchard in Tacoma, Washington. The family suggests memorial gifts in his honor be sent to his alma mater, Northwest Christian College, 828 East 11th Ave., Eugene, Oregon 97401.
