Reuben G. Sandquist's Obituary
Reuben G. Sandquist, born November 23, 1924 in Parkland, WA passed away peacefully on July 12, 2006. Reuben met Lois M. Fulton while attending Washington State University in 1948, and married March 19, 1955. As a graduate from Lincoln High School, Reuben joined the U.S. Navy and served as a veteran of WWII. After a 32 year career as Regional Manager with NCR, he retired to work with the SBA and as a self-employed business consultant in the Seattle-Tacoma area. Reuben will be remembered as a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Afifi, SCORE, The Tacoma Jocks and Oakbrook Golf & County Club. Reuben was preceded in death by his father, Henry and mother, Evelyn Sandquist, brother Richard and sister Margrete Tietz. He leaves behind his loving wife, Lois of 51 years, daughter Diane and husband Jeffrey Salter, son Mark and wife Tiffiny, four grandchildren; Michael and Kathleen Salter and Cameron and Olivia Sandquist, his sister Helen Tietz, and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be held at 12:30 pm on July 17, 2006 at Mountain View Memorial Park, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW Tacoma, WA. Following at 2:00 pm, will be a celebration in memory of ReubenÂ's life at Oakbrook Golf & Country Club, 8102 Zircon Drive SW Lakewood, WA 98498.Donations may be made in his memory directly to The Franciscan Hospice House located at 2901 Bridgeport Way West - University Place, WA 98466.
