Rene K. Knittel's Obituary
Rene Knittel, joined our Lord and Savior on January 21,2021. He was born in Newton Kansas, on October 27, 1931, to Erhardt and Hulda Knittel, He was the oldest of three children. His family moved to Tacoma , Washington, where he graduated from Stadium High School the class of 1949. He enlisted with the U.S. Navy, on November1, 1949 and received an honorable discharge on October 31, 1954.
Rene married his sweetheart and love of his life Violet Stroh, January 16, 1960, they resided in Tacoma and raised two children. He worked for the Department of Defense, as a Civil Servant, until he retired. He was an avid golfer and loved watching football every season. He loved RVing and playing pinochle were activities that he also enjoyed. He was a faithful member of Faith Lutheran Evangelical Church. Rene is survived by his wife (Violet) of 61 years, sister (Barbara), children: daughter: Cindy Hadaway and her husband (John), Son: Dale Knittel and his wife Teresa, Grandchildren: Stephanie, Kayla, Ryan, Angie, Cole and his wife Andrea, Great grandchildren: Benjamin ( Rene's little Farmer),
Preceding him in death : his brother James Knittel
