Reginald (Reggie) R. Kosarek
Born July 16, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois; passed away January 18, 2009, joining his daughter, Maria, in heaven. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Katharina, his daughters Elizabeth (Ed) Ellis, Alexandria (Russ) Bullock, Stephanie (Andrew) Thorp and his son Rudy (Roxanne) along with six grandchildren B Kaleb, Jacob, Ashley, Ryan, Rudy Jr. and Ayrton. He retired from the U.S. Army after 22 years of service. Having served his country in Vietnam doing two tours, he was decorated with two Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart. He took great pride in serving his country. His courage as a soldier gave him the courage to do battle with cancer, which eventually took him from us. He was a true soldier. We will miss him greatly. Graveside services will be held 1:30 PM Friday, January 23, 2009 at Mountain View Memorial Park, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW, Lakewood with reception following at the family residence located 1442 E. 29th Street, Tacoma.
