Rebecca Brenner's Obituary
Our Beloved Rebecca
Born July 29, 1956; went home to be with the Lord on November 26, 2019.
Rebecca Mae Coffey was the third daughter born to Blanche (Snipes) Coffey and Bradford Coffey. She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and spent her growing up years in Oklahoma and Louisiana with her family, as her father pastored to churches in the Midwest. Rebecca met her lifetime love, John, and soon after being married they settled down in Tacoma, WA.
Becky was a beautiful singer, loved reading, and designing cards to send with her special words of love and encouragement. She enjoyed visiting with family, playing games, and loved to tease, always in fun. She was a good listener who provided uplifting words and Godly discernment. As a young woman, she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, but through this she demonstrated remarkable faith and strength. She was a longtime member of South Lakeshore Christian Church where she faithfully supported and prayed for her fellow members.
Becky personified the qualities of Christian character that included joy, patience and kindness. Her compassion for others, her longstanding strength, her spirit of laughter, and her devotion to her family and God made her a shining light in this world.
Becky is survived by her husband John R., sons Brad (Crystal) and J. Matthew (Jennifer), sisters Patty (Gary), Deborah, Martha (Robert), granddaughters Ava, Alena, Akenzie, and Annie, grandson Axl, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Contributions on behalf of Rebecca Brenner may be made to South Lakeshore Christian Church at 1740 South 84th Street Tacoma, WA 98444.
