Raymond Squires' Obituary
On Tuesday, February 15th at age 92, Raymond Squires was reunited with Hattie Rose, his wife of 50 + years. Ray was born August 14, 1913 in Manhattan, Montana to Edward and Josephine Squires. The family moved to Tacoma and settled on McKinley Hill, where Ray graduated from Lincoln High School, and married  HapÂ' in 1934. He served in the Navy in WWII in Kodiak, Alaska, and upon discharge, he continued a career in carpet and linoleum installation that would span 30+ years. He retired as business agent for the union in 1972 to is farm in Parkland, where he spent many happy days with his chickens, sheep, pigeons, pets, and friends.He was preceded in death by his brother Wallace, four sisters, son Melvin, and our loving mother Hattie Rose. Ray had a legion of friends who cared for him very much. He is survived by his son Leslie (Julie) Squires, grandson Casey (Jessica) and numerous nieces and nephews.Services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, February 18, 2006 in the Mountain View Celebration of Life Center.
