I met Ray in early 90s when I went to look at a Harley he had for sale. That first meeting was in his shop, we talked for almost 4-hours which seemed like just minutes to me. Ray was simply fascinating to talk with and I could not wait to talk with him again. The second time I met him I realized motorcycles had become secondary to a new friendship. Ray was a role model for me, I admired him. I'm a better person for knowing Ray Brown, we all are.

To the Brown Family,
We were priviliged to know Ray from Shemya. AK. He would stay in our contractor camp when he arrived with the advance party from Crowley. He was our most important guest for the year. We would sit down and talk about his family and passion for square dancing. He adored his wife and family. He was the most gentle, loving man that we have known. Completely devoted to his wife and family and cheerful beyond words. He always spoke about his passion for Harley's and wanted us to share in this passion. When he retired, we never got together like we should have. This is a story that goes on and on and regretable,happens too frequently. We shared in the grief with Chuck. He was an image of Ray and we cried when your family cried. The one thing we can smile about, HEAVEN has a special soul who will have them riding about heaven on Harley's. We loved the man and extend our best to the family.
