Hello! I dont know the Bairds, or if this is the same people, but I volunteer with a homeless ministry, and part of it is handing out donated clothing and items. I found a ziploc bag with 2 old photos. One was labeled 1945 and the back said it is of a Ray and Evelyn Baird, and their baby daughter Rae or Roe?My thought is these were misplaced and accidentally donated. Im attaching the photos. If this is them I'd like to see these photos back with any surviving relatives.
Ray met me over 51 years ago next door. My youngest & fondest memory of him was when my brother and I watched a train stop in front of our homes and Ray got off the caboose. We ran to meet him so surprised. He put his fingers up to his lips and told us to shhh because he wasn't ever supposed to ride the train home like that. They were both so caring. I decided to take a 2 week trip drive alone. He told me that I should take a blow up doll with me in the front seat because young ladies shouldn't travel alone. We'll all miss him very much. I met Ray 19 years ago when the couple we were buying our house from was having a yard sale, and told us that Ray comes with the house. That was the best buy I had ever made. Never had or ever will have a better neighbors than Ray and Evie. I will never forget them. They are together again. Lisa Powell
