Raymond Arthur SprossigRaymond was born in Tacoma on March 12, 1926 and passed away on June 18, 2003 at St. JosephÂ's Hospital after a short illness. His parents were Mabel and Walter, who preceded him in death. Raymond graduated from Lincoln High School. After graduation he enlisted in the Navy, serving in the Pacific during WWII. Upon finishing his time in the service he went to work at Puget Sound Plywood, where he retired from. Ray is survived by his beloved partner in life, who was also his high school sweetheart, Irene. Our fatherÂ's greatest pastime was visiting with family and greatly loved friends. He enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Arizona.He was loved and will be missed by, daughter, Christine (Don); son, Steven (Darla); daughter, Julie (Darrel); son, Ted (deceased); and son, Jerry (Joanne). He also leaves behind many loving and cherished moments with his grandchildren who were the love of his life, Jeffrey, Amy, Cara, Sarah, Darrel, Anna, and Emily.He joins in Heaven, wife, Ruth and wife, Vivian.Our family would like to thank all the very special staff who took are of our father at St. JosephÂ's Hospital, including, Kim Barwell and Janice Campbell. Also a very special thank you to Sister Josephine Pelster.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in DadÂ's name to the Cancer Society, P.O. View Funeral Home.Service will be 12pm, Saturday, June 21, 2003 at the Mt. View Celebration of Life Building.
