Bob was very kind to a young pharmacist (me!) new to the state. Always remembered with smiles. noel##imported-begin##noel spence##imported-end##
Dear Dee and Family: We are saddened to hear of the loss of our friend, Ray, who lead the WSPA in a very positive direction. I and many others, thoroughly enjoyed his friendship and great leadership abilities. I consider it an honor to have served with Ray in pursing positive Professional goals and ideals for the Practice of Pharmacy. We will miss him greatly. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time.

Dear Dee -- I do not know what message you will get from my computer trials at writing a note to you. This is my third attempt to add a message to let you know how sorry I am. So far I have lost two attempts to finish an e-mail to add to your book about Ray. Even though we did not see him these last few years, I miss him just because I know he is gone. My heartfelt thoughts go out to you at this time. As far as I was concerned, Ray was just the best Secretary the WSPA ever had! He was a GOOD Man! He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Sincerely, Priscilla Nash##imported-begin##Priscilla Nash##imported-end##
Dear Dee
A feelling of great saddness came over me when I read that Ray has passed away. Al (Nash) passed away very suddenly in his sleep last March, and I can feel your pain as you try to recover from such a loss. I remember what a wonderful man he was particularly when I knew him as Secretary of WSPA back in the "good old days". An era has passed us by, and we didn't even know it. At least we were not aware.##imported-begin##Priscilla Nash (Mrs. Al.)##imported-end##
Dear Dee and Family - Odell and I send you hugs and our love. As you know, you have been a part of our family for a lonnnnnnnnnnnnng time (56 years). From the days at WSU to AAA Prescription Service to Nancy dying and our marriage Ray has always been there - with a bear hug and a hearty 'hi kids!' He kidnapped us from our wedding reception and took us on a great ride! Leaving our kids holding the bag and them not knowing where we were or what as going to happen (we didn't either). We appreciated your always having our convention packets ready and waiting for us, even if Edith was not always sure what was happening. Our entire family has been enriched by Ray's 'hi kids' and your gracious support of him and the love both of you gave to us.

Dee and Family, I am so sorry to hear of Ray's passing. As a pharmacy student he welcomed me to participate at WSPA conventions and made sure I felt welcome. Because of his personal attention I became involved in WSPA at the beginning of my career and continue to be a member now some 25 plus years later. His encouragement and support over the years had a big impact on me as it did on many ,many others. I will remember him as a passionate man who loved the profession of pharmacy and dedicated himself to the pharmacist's of Washington State for many years. Of course, as with any great man, there was aways a wonderful woman standing at his side and when I think of Ray I will always think of Dee as well. Your dedication and warm and friendly welcome every year at WSPA conventions have been missed and I wish you the best. Most sincerely, Alison Johnston.##imported-begin##Alison Johnston##imported-end##
My dearest Dee,
I know you know how much Ray and you meant (mean) to Brent and me. What beautiful memories I have of our times together at the national pharmacy meetings, wonderful ICI, etc. trips, playing golf on exotic courses, and our own state conventions. Ray was my mentor and I so looked up to him (No pun intended). He gave me encouragement in the dark days of being a state exec and he taught me so much about managing a pharmacy association. He always had more faith in me than I did. And most importantly, he made me laugh. I see his beautiful smile and hear his belly laugh whenever I think of him. I ran across a picture of all of us on the desert tour outside of Scottsdale. Unfortunately, his back is all we see.
I have missed you both over the years. Please know that you will always have a special place in my heart. May God bless you in this time of sorrow. I'll be with you in spirit!
My best to you and your family,

Dear Dee and Family, I am so sorry to hear of Ray's passing. You have my sympathy and condolences. Ray was a wonderful man who loved you all so much. He was a dynamo and impacted my life and so many other people in so many positive ways. His cheerfulness and wonderful laugh always made me feel better. I wish I had a magic wand that I could wave to ease your pain. He will be with all of us as long as we live for he is now a part of us as we remember him. Let me know if I can help in any way.
