Ray Miller's Obituary
Ray Miller passed away peacefully on November 8, 2017 in Lakewood, Washington at the age of 87. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife Barbara; four daughters Cindy Nicodemus, Jill Schroeder, Sue Searles and Lori Fenton; four sons-in-law and one daughter-in-law; twenty-seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Ray Miller, his daughter Jenny Miller, his parents, his sister and his brother.
Ray was born in Melrose Park, Illinois on February 17, 1930. When Ray met Barbara, he knew she was destined to be the love of his life. Ray & Barbara were married for 63 years. Ray served his country for 20 years in the United States Air Force as a flight engineer. He loved being on airplanes, taking flights and just knew a wealth of trivia about anything plane related. Every year he loved volunteering for the annual air show at the Olympia airport. Ray also loved Jesus, and he would freely share this love with anyone willing to spend time with him.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 PM on November 18, 2017 at the Living Way Church, 8605 Washington Blvd. SW, in Lakewood, Washington.
A private graveside service for family will be held on December 4, 2017 at Custer National Cemetery in Montana.
