Ray Coleman Linebarger II's Obituary
Ray Linebarger 1947 - 2018. Ray was born in Morrilton, Arkansas to Mother Goldie Clark and Father Joseph Linebarger. He served 6 years in the Army . He was a Vietnam Veteran and earned a Purple Heart during his time. Ray was an Iron worker and a loving, caring person that had a huge heart for animals his entire life. He took in many strays that were left to fend for themselves.
Ray traveled many places in his time in the military and also jumped out of airplanes. He loved to gamble, music, football and loved going to concerts. Ray was always up for going golfing with many great golfing buddy's. He was known to send a golf ball across Pacific avenue from time to time and also rolled a bowling ball down north 30th street hill. Ray always had fun and had his own way of doing things. He enjoyed playing guitar on Saturday nights with his long time pal Denis.
He also loved to barbecue with friends and last but not least he spent every night and day with his side kick and pride and joy "BABE" his beautiful Macaw who is going to miss him with all her heart. Ray taught her many many words some of which I cannot repeat, he taught her how to unbutton shirts, loosen bolts, pick locks and how to empty a sock drawer in a matter of seconds. Ray loved to frequent bars and socializing with many friends and had nick-names for all his bartenders! Ray was one of a kind with a heart of gold.
Our loving friend, brother and son will be deeply missed. Spread your wings my friend you can fly wherever you want to now and we know you are at peace. We love you Vietnam Ray - Ray , Ray Reno, Ray Golf, Ray Religion and the Godfather! Just a few of your many nicknames you earned while you were here. We will never find another you!
