Both of your parents meant so much to me and are a big part of my childhood memories. You were all very blessed to have such great parents. I never had the pleasure of meeting Ray, but I know of the sacrifices he made for his country as a member of the "Silent Service" during WWII. We honor his service by saying "Sailor Rest Your Oar" as he goes on eternal patrol to join his shipmates.

Sorry to hear of Ray's passing. I don't believe I have seen Ray since the war, but he was always my hero. I was very young during those years but my mother talked frequently of Ray. My mother often talked of cousins Ray & Betty Lou, I always thought they were the very greatest.

I was so sorry to hear of Ray's passing. I remember my mother Fannie Robbins Chalmers telling my brother, Leo & I about Ray being at Pearl Harbor when it was bombed. I've forgotten a lot of the story, but I am proud of the sacrifices he made for his country.
