Randy Schimon's Obituary
With hearts full of both grief and gratitude, we celebrate the life of Randy Schimon, a devoted follower of Jesus, beloved husband, father, PaPa, and friend to many around the world. He passed into the presence of the Lord surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of faith, generosity, joy, and deep devotion to his family.
Above all else, Randy loved the Lord. His relationship with Jesus was not simply something he professed—it was something he lived. He carried a deep passion for revival and longed to see hearts awakened and lives transformed. His time at Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry in Redding was a meaningful chapter in his spiritual journey. Those years deepened his hunger for the presence of God and strengthened his heart to see renewal both in the Church and in communities around the world. He was a founder leader at their home church Restoration Tacoma.
He was a man of great vision and even greater love. His faith was vibrant, his prayers were bold, and his hope never wavered. He had a heart that believed God was still moving, still healing, still restoring—and he carried that expectancy everywhere he went.
Yet as passionate as he was about revival, nothing rivaled his love for his family.
He delighted in being a husband, a father, and especially a PaPa. His children were his pride and joy, and his grandchildren held a uniquely tender place in his heart. They adored their PaPa—the way his eyes lit up when they walked into a room, the warmth of his hugs, the sound of his laughter, and the safety they felt in his presence. Time with them wasn’t an obligation; it was his greatest joy. Whether traveling together, telling stories, sharing meals, or simply sitting close, he made each of them feel deeply seen and fully loved.
Travel was one of his great pleasures. He embraced the world with curiosity and wonder, building friendships and connections across cities, states, and continents. He never met a stranger—only someone he hadn’t yet learned from. His genuine curiosity about people and cultures, his willingness to listen, and his hunger to understand made him beloved by many far beyond his immediate circle. From family vacations to ministry trips with Create Academy, he approached each journey as an opportunity to connect, bless, and grow.
He was known for his radiant smile—one that could light up a room and put others instantly at ease. His generosity was quiet but constant. He gave freely of his time, his wisdom, his resources, and his encouragement. He leaned into hard conversations with grace and humility, always willing to learn, always ready to see through another’s eyes. His heart was soft, teachable, and deeply compassionate.
To know him was to feel welcomed. To be loved by him was to feel secure. He made people feel important. He showed up. He prayed boldly. He believed fiercely. He loved without hesitation.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Linda; his children, Destiny (Clay), BryAnna (Nathan), Zach (Chelsea) and Amanda (Craig); and his cherished grandchildren, who will forever carry his stories and strength. He is also survived by his mother, Patricia (Patti) Linders; siblings, Kenny (Madeline), Terry (Rhonda), Cindy (Steve), Brad (Marie), Mary, and Art (Kim); and countless friends around the world whose lives were touched by his faith and kindness.
While our hearts ache in his absence, we rejoice in the assurance that he is now fully healed, fully whole, and fully home with the Lord he loved so deeply. His legacy lives on in the faith he modeled, the love he poured out, and the generations he shaped.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.”
