Ramona P. Abra
Mona was born on May 24, 1930 in Plainsville, Kamsas and passed away on Oct. 6, 2008.
She moved to Fort Lewis and lived with her sister after graduation and also went to work at the Officer's Club. It was here that she met her husband to be, mel, who also worked there. It was almost instant love and they were married on Nov. 10, 1951, just before he was sent to the war in Korea. While he was away she worked at the K Street Grill and saved money for their first home.
They raised a family of five wonderful children, Melva LaForge (George), Candy Moyer (Jerry), Monica Stewart, Jeaneatte Boitano (John) and Allen Abra (Marcie. Besides her husband Mel, she is survived by four sisters, Rita Hall (Jerry) of Spanaway, WA; Pauline Kaiser and Vonnie Oberle both of Kansas, Margo Treadwell, Auburn and a brother John Adams, Kansas. Nine fabulous grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
The family wishes to give Lynden Grove a special thank you for all the care they gave our loved on during our time of grief and the consideration shown to our family.
Funeral services will be in Celebration of Life Building at Mountain View Memorial Park, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd., Lakewood, WA on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 3:00pm
