Ralph L. McGinn's Obituary
Ralph was born Dec. 7, 1911 in Harrah, WA, and died June 28, 2006 in Tacoma, WA.He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ruth McGinn, of 66 years. Ralph is survived by daughter Joyce Bundy (Burt) of Los Molinos, CA, son Walter (Anne) of Puyallup, WA, 7 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.Ralph grew up ranching on the family homestead in Harrah, WA. His passion was his horses. He owned, raised, and raced thoroughbred race horses throughout WA, OR, and British Columbia. In later years, he became a Steward of Racing at Longacres Racetrack where he had spent many years as an owner and trainer of horses. He was a dual member of the Yakima, Quinault and Cowlitz Indian nation tribes, and extremely proud of his heritage.He was a member of Washington Thoroughbred Breeders Assoc., Puyallup Elks, Life Fellowship Degree of the Loyal Order of Moose. Ralph was a founding member of the Pierce County Mounted Posse Assoc. and Tacoma Unit #1 HorsemenÂ's Assoc.He will be remembered by family and friends for his smile.Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM on Saturday, July 1, 2006 at Mountain View Memorial Park.
