Quiency Maurice Howie-Jones, also known as Que, passed away on July 22, 2023, in Seattle, Washington, at the age of 21. Born on March 28, 2002 to Toya Hudson and Charles R. Jones Jr. At Group Health in Seattle, Quiency brought joy and laughter to those around him.
Quiency was a fun-loving and goofy young man who had a unique ability to tell it like it is. He found great joy in his work as a security guard, ensuring the safety of others. In his free time, Quiency loved playing basketball, video games, and football. His love for music and spending time with friends added to his vibrant personality.
Despite facing challenges due to his illness, Quiency remained strong and resilient. He became a counselor to many, offering support and guidance to those in need. His infectious love for his family was evident, and he cherished his role as a son, brother, grandson, godson, and nephew.
Quiency’s educational journey began at Twin Lakes Elementary and continued at Foss High School, where he developed his academic skills and built lasting friendships.
Quiency will be deeply missed by his mother, Toya Hudson, his stepfather, Anthony Paul, his brother, Yorel Howie-Jones, his sister, Allonie Jones, his grandmothers, Karen Howie and Margret Jones, his godmother, Lisette Serrano, his aunt, Janel Lige, and a host of other family members and friends.
Quiency will forever be remembered for his strength, love, and unwavering spirit. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
