Queen Esther Forch's Obituary
Queen Esther Forch, matriarch of the Forch family, crossed over on January 15, 2015. She was born Queen Esther Sharpe on August 7th 1931, the youngest of ten children.
Mom was proudly independent but fiercely loyal to her family and friends. She could be a taskmaster but always had that loving touch. She was a strong advocate for education, hard work and justice and it is reflected in the successful lives of all those she leaves behind. Mom was also a great cook and our memories are filled with picnics, outings, and holidays. As our family grew, we looked forward with eager anticipation to family gatherings complete with good food, wonderful stories, and words of wisdom to the eldest of us and twinkle-eyed smiles right down to the “great grans”.
She will be missed and her memory carried on by husband Bobby Forch, sons Sam Evans, Bobby Forch Jr., and Rickey Forch as she joins her beloved son, our late brother, Leodis Forch. Mom’s love was limitless and her wisdom infinite as she was a wonderful mother-in-law to Gloria Evans, Kathy Kirby, Edith Forch, and Rebecca Forch.
Queen was blessed with granddaughters, Kyla Evans, Shimia Forch, Katie Forch, and Lajaya Kirby. Her grandsons include Alexander Forch, Denzel Forch, Harrison Forch, Zach Ashby and Nicolas Ashby. Blessed with "great grans" as she called them are Ariana, Shaylynn, Malachiah, Phoenix, Fedora, Ellie, Juniper, and Ophelia.
Services will be held at 11am, Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Mountain View Garden Chapel. Visitation will be 10am to 2pm, Wednesday, January 21 at the funeral home.
