Prudencia Letourneau's Obituary
Prudencia (Prudy) Letourneau was born on January 24, 1935 in the country of Panama and passed away peacefully on February 12, 2023. She was the youngest of three children and is preceded in heaven by her Mother, sister Candy, and brother Tana. She is survived by her only child Abraham and his wife Lou Chandeck of Graham, WA , two grandchildren Nina and her husband Ronald Polmateer of JBLM, Luis Chandeck and his fiancé Monica Benz of Boney Lake and one great-grandchild Keltin Polmateer. Plus her niece's Elizabeth Potts, Gysell Carteret of Florida one nephew Charles Carteret of Texas their families, plus her many family members in Panama.
Prudy started work as a typist in her younger years in Panama and later as a Child Care attendant at the Child Development Center at McChord AFB. She retired from McChord CDC after 30 years of devoted care to the children of McChord AFB. In her spare time she attended church on a regular basis at Saint Frances Cabrini. Prudy loved talking to her family and friends on a daily basis. She loved to sit in the sun and talk on her phone. She enjoyed taking care of the family dogs, the neighborhood cats, caring for her plants and feeding the numerous birds around the house.
She lived most of her adult life in Lakewood, WA and later moved with her son and daughter-in-law to Graham, WA. She used to say she lived in the woods in Graham where the lions, tigers and bears lived.
There will be a Mass for Prudy on March 9, 2023 at 11:00am at Saint Frances Cabrini Parish in Lakewood, WA. In lieu of flowers please donate to a cause of your choice.
