Pok Tok Creveling's Obituary
Pok Tok Creveling (Yoshiko)
April 25, 1933 – June 16, 2016
The world lost a rare and amazing person. We should not be sad though. Through her dedication to God, she knew she was going to a much better world. Those of us that knew her were lucky - we got to be among the best example of a selfless, loving, and generous human being.
Born in Kyung Nam Mil Yang, Korea to (Father Sohn In-Soo/Mother Park Woo Soon) in 1933, she lived a life through the some of the most significant and trying events in history. As a child, she lived with her family during World War II in Japan. Their survival and escape during the war’s conclusion was a harrowing ordeal. She remained in Korea throughout the Korean War and met her life-long love and husband Guy in 1967. They emigrated to the United States in 1973.
Together they moved heaven and earth to obtain the emigration and citizenship of their son Joshua and his family to the U.S. where they became part of a bigger family. Guy (deceased 2007) and Pok are survived by their children: Joshua (Jung), grandson Mathew (Emily, great grand-daughter Eloise), grand-daughter Virginia (James); son Guy (Eileen) grandsons David and John; daughter Catherine (grand-daughter Leslie); daughter Carla (Gary), grand-daughter Krista (Paul), great grandson Jerry, grandson Andrew (wife Devon); daughter Karen; and Son Bill (Gina) grandson Ben, grand-daughters Jillian and Emma. Pok is also survived by her sister and life-long friend Jeon So Ja (Sang Won), Niece Sojim, and Nephew Mike.
She lived her life with joy and gave so much love to her family and friends. It showed in everything she did. We will always remember.
