Phillip D. Robertson's Obituary
Phillip D. Robertson, age 57 of Tacoma, Washington passed away peacefully in his home on September 17, 2016. Phil was born May 17, 1959 to the late Phillip Parades and Edith. He is preceded in death by a sister Tanya. He is survived by his wife Diane; son Justin; daughters Alyse and Jennifer; siblings Marty, Michael, Chris, Phylis and Linda; grandchildren Kaliya, Kayden, Dalvin, Grace and Braylen.
In his early years, Phil spent 3 years in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in 1981. He then started his career as an auto mechanic and even when he was no longer working full time he continued to work on vehicles for friends and family. He was a generous man that was always there to lend a hand, which is why it was rare to go anywhere without him running into someone he knew. He always had a joke or story to share for almost any situation. He will be remembered as hard working, supportive, and humorous. He was an amazing father, grandpa, friend, brother and husband of 27 years with his beloved wife Diane Robertson.
On a beautiful sunny day September 25, 2016, family and friends gathered to pay tribute to their father, brother and friend, Phillip D. Robertson. His ashes were spread over commencement bay. He will be greatly missed and the void he has left will be impossible to fill. We take comfort in the memories that we had with him and that he will be watching over us all.
