Mom & DadTogether AgainOur father, Philip Sopher, age 90, joined our mother, Lillian Blanche, on June 2, 2007. He spent his last year at Laurel House at Renaissance/Narrows Glen. Dad was born on February 12, 1917 in Baltimore, Maryland where he resided until drafted into the US Army in 1941. Dad served his country for 20 years, retiring as a Major with service in WWII, Viet Nam and Korea.Surviving family members include his daughter Phyllis and son Jeff (Robin). His memory will also be cherished by his grandchildren Kerry, Jennifer, Ryan, Susan and Sarah and their collective families.Funeral services in celebration of Dad's life will be held in Soperton, Georgia.The family of Philip Sopher extends special thanks: To Sue Honan and her wonderful staff at Laurel House for their love, compassion and care of our father;To the loving staff of Home Instead Senior Care for their support of Dad;To Franciscan Hospice for keeping Dad comfortable and supporting the family during his last days;To Dr. Michael Wilson, Cardiology, Madigan Army Medical Center, for your years of dedicated care of our Dad; andTo Dr. Leigh Johnson, Family Practice, Madigan Army Medical Center, for going the extra miles in trying to "fix" Dad again!Dad adored each of you.
