I was looking up old friends and had decided to give Phil a call, just to see how he was doing. We were close friends in the 384th Army band at Ft, Eustis, Virginia in the late 60s,
I had many good times with "Ski" .We were at the drag strip about every Sunday and at Virginia Beach where I played at the Peppermint Beach Club, Guess its late now but I am profoundly saddened to hear of his passing, I only saw him a few times after the service but I thought of him often. I Remembered his fascination with knives even then and once when he made a spring loaded pocket knife out of a folding nail file, I will cherish my memories of him, Old, old friend.
