Petra Polequin
October 24, 1957 - April 23, 2025
Petra Polequin passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025, at the age of 67. Born in Weiden, Germany, Petra was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished friend to many. She shared 45 wonderful years of marriage with her husband, Dan Polequin, who survives her.
Petra was known for her generous heart and passion for nurturing others. She found great joy in cooking and baking for family and friends, and her home was often filled with the warmth of shared meals. She had a deep love for growing flowers and vegetables, and she delighted in hiking and traveling throughout the United States. Her favorite colors--lilac and pink--reflected her gentle, joyful nature.
She had a wonderful sense of humor and was always ready with a joke, bringing laughter to everyone around her. Whether through a witty comment, a funny story, or a well-timed smile, Petra Made people feel lighter simply by being near her.
She was a member St. John XXIII Catholic Church in Tacoma, Washington.
Petra was preceded in death by her beloved parents Elisabeth (Muller) Berent, Herbert Ernst Grafe, and her stepfather, Meinhard Berent.
Petra is survived by her husband, Dan Polequin, and her children:

She also leaves behind her sister, Beate Scheck of Waldthurn, Germany and her brother, Erhard Grafe of Waldthurn, Germany.

Petra's kindness, humor, and love for her family will be forever remembered. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, strength, and compassion that will continue to live on in all who knew and loved her.
