Petra Milligan, born in the picturesque town of Valdepeñas, Spain, renowned for its magnificent wine, passed away peacefully in Tacoma, Washington, on June 11, 2024. She moved to McChord Air Force Base in 1974, where she built a life filled with love, family, and cherished traditions.
Petra is survived by her beloved children: Josefina, Carlos, Julia, and Terry. She also leaves behind six adoring grandchildren: Rafael, Victor, Phillip, Dominique, Amanda, and Jesse, along with many dear family members in Spain. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Ramona and Donisia, and her brother, Pedro.
Petra was a woman of many talents and passions. She was known for cooking her famous paella, a dish that brought joy to many gatherings. Her skills in sewing, cleaning, and gardening were unmatched, and she had a special love for flowers. Petra’s vibrant spirit shone through in her love for dancing the Spanish Flamenco and socializing with friends.
Her warmth, generosity, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Petra’s legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and friends, and she will be remembered fondly for her contributions to their lives and her community.
