Peter Lisosky Navy veteran and family man.
Peter Lisosky died peacefully in his sleep at home on Independence Day 2012. He was 90 years young.
He was fiercely proud of his children Joanne M. Lisosky, Ph.D. (Michael Darcher) of Tacoma, Kathleen Leahey, R.N. of Rensselaer, NY, and Peter J. He worked for more than 30 years as an electrician. He was renowned for his ability to fix anything with or without moving parts.
In his youth, Lisosky was a master at pitching horseshoes, rolling bowling balls, and high diving from the cliffs along the Hudson River. Most recently Peter Lisosky enjoyed playing serious games of Euchre with his family and keeping a close eye on the pair of bald eagles nesting near his window in the Stadium District.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary K. Lisosky and all eight of his siblings from Castleton, New York. Services will be held at Saratoga National Cemetery in New York State.
The family sincerely appreciates the grace and care provided by Franciscan Hospice in Tacoma.
