Peter William Edwards' Obituary
Peter William Edwards was born on April 22, 1938 in Levenworth, Kansas. He and his family moved to McNeil Island, Washington and then to Lakewood, where he graduated from Clover Park Highschool in 1956.
He joined the United States Marine Corps and later the US AirForce to pursue his lifelong passion of aviation.
In 1970, he was reintroduced to Jennifer Rivard. After a long distance romance they were married on December 29, 1973. They moved to New Mexico, and then to Spain, where their son Craig was born, and New York, where their daughter Caron was born.
Peter retired from the service in 1983, and moved his family back to Lakewood, Washington. He began his career at Boeing in 1989, and retired in 2002.
He began his third career as a Pierce County security guard shortly after his retirement to give him “something to do.”
He passed away on April 6, 2022. He is survived by his wife Jennifer, son Craig, daughter Caron, son-in-law Jeff Horttor, brother Ralph Edwards (Annalee)and multiple family and friends.
