Peter Brands' Obituary
Peter A. Brands, "Buddy", was born February 3, 1933 and passed away peacefully at his daughter's house on July 5, 2015. Pete proudly served in the Coast Guard above the cutter Klamath. He loved being on the salt water and was an avid salmon fisherman. Dad was a proud member of the Heat and Frost Insulator's Union for 40 plus years and was the last surviving member of Local 50. Peter was married to his loving wife, Betty, who passed away in 2004 after 50 years of marriage. Preceding him in death were his brothers Michael Arlen Brands, S.J., and Charles Omar Brands. He is survived by son Daniel A. Brands (Kathy), daughter Patti Strom (Tom), grandchildren Daniel Brands, Nicholas Brands (Veronica), Peter Strom (fiancee Andrea Saxon), and his beloved granddaughter Emily Strom. Also survived by sister-in-law Sandra Brands, Uncle John Tanghe, numerous nephews, nieces and friends. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to MultiCare Hospice.
