Penny Ellen East's Obituary
Penny was born in Chicago, IL on 8/14/1947 to Elias J. Wipf and Norma G. Fullerton Wipf. She died at her home on 8/19/2018. She graduated from Mount Tahoma and Knapp Business College and went on to work for Sears, Crown Transit Lines, St. Regis , Fletcher Oil, and KMart where she reitred after 37 years.
Penny is survived by her nephew, Mark Wipf and sister-in-law, Sally Wipf and numerous cousins and friends.
Penny loved to garden but had to fight the deer to protect her plants. She planted many varieties of plants in pots to avoid digging and to be able to move them away from the wildlife in her yard. She loved trying new varieties of seeds to see what results she would get even if it was a black-streaked heirloom tomato that tasted wonderful but looked awful.
Penny was an avid BUNCO player and enjoyed playing many other board and card games with family and friends.
She loved animals and adopted stray dogs and cats treating them as her own. She also fed all the birds and animals that regularly visited her yard.
A special thank you to Sue and Oly who have been wonderful, helpful neighbors and friends for many years.
We enjoyed the many years and memories that we shared with you. We love and miss you and you will never be forgotten.
