Peggy L. Michajla's Obituary
Margaret Louise Walker was born on May 30,1923 in her beloved hometown of Tacoma, WA. Known to all as Peggy, she graduated from Lincoln High in Tacoma with her "'41 Club" classmates, and soon after married her childhood sweetheart, Robert Arthur Michajla on September 18, 1942 and remained married for almost 65 years until his death in 2007. Eventually Bob and Peg made their home in Shoreline where they raised their family and their beloved collie dogs, always named “Laddie”.
Peggy loved the 16 years she spent working at the Aurora Village Nordstrom, and her loyalty to the store carried through to her last days. She treasured her 37 trips to Hawaii with Bob, travels to jazz festivals and decorating and shopping for Christmas. Above all else in her life, however, was Peggy's love and nurturing of her family in every sense of the word. Peggy is survived by three children; Robert Michajla II ﴾Pam﴿, Thomas Michajla ﴾Patty﴿, Susie Roberts ﴾Dale﴿, seven grandchildren and nine great‐grandchildren and her sister, Ellen Ketchum. Thanks to the staff at Manor Care for the wonderful care she received.
Her Services will be held at Mountain View Memorial Park, Lakewood, WA. In the Garden Chapel at 1pm on Tuesday, Nov. 17; Visitation will be held prior to her service at the Mountain View Funeral Home from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Family and friends kindly invited.
